Mesüt wrote:I don't think it worked tbh, Elneny was a beast second half and Xhaka improved as he got more involved in the game, but we still made Bournemouth look like Barca. We looked scared of trying to tackle and couldn't get the ball back, our marking was horrendous as their guys were always wide open and we would get punished against a better team.

Think the 3 man mid is the way forward without Santi, we're playing dogshit so lets try something new.

el nenny and xhaka had ozil who didnt help them at all and two utter clowns in ox and alcott who kept losing the ball and can never do anything except running in straight lines. We played most of the match 3 v 2 in the middle and el nenny and xhakka didnt commit and lose position. They did the best of what they could

Either way, Sanchez and Mesut are obviously the first two players, ludicrous Coquelin loving going on lately, 'first name on the team sheet' lmfao.

More like 'only DM in the squad cos the manager is a pleb so we need him fit'.

I taught Elneny put in a decent shift yesterday. As others have correctly said we where out numbered in MF and where chasing shadows for a bit; but his energy levels and closing down where of a high and committed tempo.

Instead of always trying to point out the lesser lights of the team - Ozil did nothing to help the possession stats in MF yesterday and we all know Walcott treats the ball like a hot potato. Ox kept coming inside a lot and was not an outlet for them.

The middle two did well due to what was around them - Sanchez came deep to help them out and it showed in their game o n the ball.

Off the ball they did the job. I have no complaints other than Ake hair is in better condition than Elneny's.

Don't see how that negates the point. He's first name on the team sheet since he's our only DM, not just because of his form. People really shouldn't forget what 2014 was like before he came.

Of course, there's no reason why Xhaka can't put in the performances to keep Coq out of the team. It's a possibility at this point

Oh I know exactly what it was like before he came, our last decent DM was Song and even he wasn't that great. Loved and still do love Coq, his passion and aggression is quality and he's a great player to have for many games, I just disagree that we need a DM in all games so I don't even consider him top 4 on the team sheet when all are fit.

Alexis should play every game, he is our soul.
Mesut should play every game he is world class.
Cazorla should play every game when fit.
Koscielny is the don at the back.

Then you get to the likes of Coquelin, Cech and Bellerin who are all quality but not vital for every single game. Sometimes we can make do with Ospina, with Debuchy, with Xhaka. Without any of the 4 above I think we struggle, without Coquelin we can manage better.

Just my opinion anyway, some will disagree. Doesn't mean I don't love the Coq.

because before ox got injured and giroud came on the midfield two was ox - xhaka

wenger didnt want to play xhaka as a lone dm when we're chasing the game. thought we played much better when he came on but far far too late

Why is this player on our payroll if I may ask? What does he contribute to our team?
