Every Elneny goal is a screamer

Today v Olympiakos (first touch!)

Group stage v Dundalk

CL 2016 v Barcelona (our last goal ever in that competition)

He was superb today.

Passing forwards, defending, driving up to the box, scoring worldies.

He needs to make this a regular part of his game, when he's switched on he's actually really good considering he cost us like £6m or so.

Failing that he's still our joint best defensive midfielder along side Partey although Partey does most of his tackling more in the middle of the park.

interesting body language from Ceballos after that goal, the whole team rushing to congratulate Mo and he, although clearly pleased, not interested in praising Mo.

Just shows how many under currents there are in a team that we are completely oblivious of.

Yeah, that did draw my attention away from the goal celebration initially. Looked a bit off.

The game ended with him playing higher up the pitch replacing Odegaard so maybe Arteta can give up playing Ceballos so deep. He didn’t look bad playing higher once he found his rhythm.

Need more of that from Elneny. When there is that much space through the middle I want to see our CM's drive forward and try to make something happen.

Well once again Elneny makes the point that there is no reason Xhaka should be playing ahead of him, no reason whatsoever !
