I like when a player is improving, he has got little bit stronger and his passing has become more adventurous..... agains west brom he had some really good moments. If the ball he gave bellerin first half or giroud second half was done by xhaka people would praise him for that. when he set up lacazette with a cruyf move in the pen area and passed to him....another great moment. Its amazing how people are so more focused on his flaws instead of the other midfielders. With a better manager who knows what he is doing....he would have so much to work with this guy

A very, very dependable squad player. I hope he challenges for a nailed down first team selection.

I liked him a lot last game. Wouldn't mind him taking Xhakas place for a while till he get his head clear.

he cant play with ramsey as el nenny is not pure DM. Wenger want someone who is far limited in xhaka just to sit for ramsey. The argument is despite not being quick......by just having a body infront of the defense it will slow down the other team instead of running through our midfield. El nenny would be waste if he was told just to sit.....his movement and energy is his best attriubte. Ramsey is nowhere near good enough for you to sacrifice a midfield. You can play with 2 central midfielders like el nenny if both attack and defend equally. But Ramsey is above the defending.

Our midfield options are not balanced anyways. Ramsey only works in a 2 man midfield, when he works on his positional sense as in the last chelsea game. This doesn't happen very often though.
Xhaka is not mobile and needs a very energetic CM beside him. At best even 2.
ElNeny and Coquelin aren't bad, but aren't world beaters too. I like the Neny improvement though.
Cazorla are Wilshere are crocked most of the time.

I think we should switch to 4-3-3 and give our midfield the quantity to compensate for the quality. A Xhaka - Wilshere- Ramsey trio is the best what we could do right now imo. ElNeny can take one of Ramseys or Wilsheres place against tougher opponents.

Xhaka ramsey and el nenny is far better than woth wilshere. El nenny is far better defensively than wilshere. He has far more energy and provides more movement

The only reasons El Nenny does not start most of our games are:
1. He does not have the imposing physique or strength of a Gilberto, Matic, Fernandinho
2. He is not a Hollywood type, or a "one of us", or 35M player
3. Wenger has his favorites and lacks the ability to truly balance the team or bring the best out of the squad

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal

thank you......i really dont get the people who watchs him and xhaka and thinks xhaka is better. Sure xhaka cost 7 times more and come with much higher reputation. But watching both play, no doubt who is the better player. Wenger has his favourites. Look at perez who was being dropped after scoring a hattrick. I mean its like he buys a player thinking this guy is a starter and this guy is a backup and not open minded enough to change his mind. We have had years of midfielders like wilshere and ramsey and got nowhere and all I hear about el nenny is yeah he is safe and works hard. Like having a midfielder who is safe on the ball is a bad thing. Arsenal.com asked the question who was man of the match against west brom and had xhaka and ramsey there.....after fan reaction they took both of and had el nenny, monreal and lacazette

Heard hes done well recently and he is better than Xhaka although that's not high praise.

Ideally he'd be a squad player and someone better than Xhaka would be in the first team.

Time for Carvalho to come home

Elneny- Ramsey should be our Central midfield pairing. Xhaka too callous and erratic plus sh*ts himself when pressed.

Good shout regards Carvalho. Exactly what our midfield has been crying out for for 5 years now. Someone like him would be pivotal in providing the physicality, bulk and sheer presence we have not had since Gilberto Silva never mind the type of game that a bonafide defensive midfielder would provide the platform for EVERY other midfielder we have to bring their A game and be way more effective. Imagine not shitting yourself everytime we lose the ball in midfield? If we had had a matic, kante, guyue, wanyama or Carvalho sitting at the base of our midfield screening our defence and allowing santi, oz, Rambo, jack, granit and mo to do their thing..we would not be playing 3 @ the back just to accommodate an extra defender and in all probability have won the league at least twice since 2012.
