Fully deserved because lets face facts, he's paid peanuts as it is and the £6m or so we bought him for, I'd like to see us get another reserve player who can easily play in the 1st team when called upon at the drop of a hat for £6m.

It'd be stupid business to let him go, especially when we're going to have more games next season back in Europe, FA Cup, Carabao and Prem.

Good for him. He's one player I want to see get a starting run in the team. He has never had a fair shake despite being consistent and reliable.

Despite reports that the Gunners have begun talks with 29-year-old Egypt midfielder Mohamed Elneny, counter reports claim he has agreed a deal in principle with Galatasaray. (Fanatik - in Turkish)

Had Arteta put him in the team as soon as Partey was out top four would have been secured already

More than happy to see him getting a new contract, he's a useful player and has come on leaps and bounds over the past season.

He's not good enough. Should've loaned Arthur in January.

Without Elneny the top 4 race would have been over way before the Spurs game.

Lokonga would have been bullied by those United and Chelsea teams, these last two results everyone had been bad, however Elneny is far from the worst player these last two games.

To be fair, his skill sets are not suitable when we need quick transition and creativity upfront. Especially when the players in front of him are having a bad game.

It seems like it's easier to blame squad players that Arteta didn't personally bring in (Pepe and Elneny), than the favoured starters ones he has trusted game in and game out to deliver. That would be Xhaka and Odegaard.

Elneny has been good, not his fault we slipped was down to being un prepared for the long haul. He did his part as a squad player
