We went from technically sound top 4 midfielders to top 6 / midtable nothing special to offer players like Elneny / Xhaka etc.. no wonder we are now a 6th placed team. Can’t complain about that Mr Wenger. Smh

people still talk about tactics and desire really annoys me. Basically they are saying teams that are 12th or 15th has no desire or bad tactics. Football is about ability. As our talent level has gone backwards last few years as has our league positions. Its really not rocket science

If your statement was completely accurate, every football match would be predetermined. Or are you claiming that when Stoke beat us, their quality is superior?

Desire is a factor, it's a sport after all, and sometimes, if a weaker team shows greater desire, it can gulf the gap with a team of higher quality.

To beat teams who have better players than you then you need to do your homework on them and adapt accordingly. Just like Wenger changed the game with an extensive scouting network and dietry/fitness regimes, Mourinho changed the game with dossiers on opponents and extensive tactics/drills/training regimes.

Its also about the sum of the parts. Our team is too attack-minded. Our central midfielders are all better going forward than defending. Our CM is unbalanced as Wilshere, Ramsey and Xhaka are all pretty much the same type of central midfielder and need a DM next to them.

Add to that we lack a commanding centre back. Someone big, aggressive and who organises people.

If I could take two players from years gone by it would be Gilberto Silva and Tony Adams. Those are the two types we should be scouting the world for.

We dont have tons more quality. Normally 8 of our 11 is midtable 11 with 3 top players. Wenger believes in carrying players. How os xhaka, wilshete, el nenny or iwobi above miftable. I mean wilshere couldnt even standout in Bournemouth

We dont have tons more quality. Normally 8 of our 11 is midtable 11 with 3 top players. Wenger believes in carrying players. How os xhaka, wilshete, el nenny or iwobi above miftable. I mean wilshere couldnt even standout in Bournemouth

We wanted Evans to start for us, in place of Mustafi as well. Top class 4 defenders, hilarious. Bellerin wouldn't start for half the midtable teams either.
