Or... Arteta has no clue what he's doing, hence, he's just hoarding players in case he happens to need them.

Last summer, Arteta talked about the importance of physicality and experience as a precursor to succeed in the Prem. Now, they're singing youthful vigor...

Seems suspicious.

Both things can be true.

However, Elneny's stability helps us, especially since Arteta is quick to forgive Xhaka for pretty much anything.

We would not be in a good situation if he, Willock, Guendouzi and Torreira were all moved on in the same window.

If we were not offered a fair price it's right to turn down an approach.

A fair price is a must for all of our transfers, that's the one thing I respect Levy for at Spurs, he refuses to be short-changed.

I think it depends on the circumstances.

If a club really wants to shift a player out for one reason or other then sometimes you have to take a hit on the price. If however there is no hurry then yes, you can hold out for the right price.

In the case of spuds and Kane, his goals and general contribution are far more important to them for their long term future than just taking the money. Let's face it, they're not going to get players of his standard with whatever money they'd get. They'd just end up spending it all on a pile of shit as they did with the Bale money. Lesson learned there for Levy.

Levy has gone 3 windows without spending, which led to relegation form and Poch's outsting. He then gave Mourinho £15m/yr and is now paying severance on that.

His pig-headedness is a double-edged sword.

For what he costs he's a bargain, can play and do his job even against top prem opposition.

Good second option.

Yeah we’re going to miss him when he’s gone, never complains about a lack of game time and always gives 100%

Yep a good squad player. Look at Milner at Liverpool. Hardly what you would call top class but always does a job when called upon. Was decent last night.

Milner is actually good.

It's not quite the right comparison, but we have to put a bit more respect on his name. Watch his movement through the game and how we always makes himself available to his teammates when we're playing out from our own half. That dictates the pace of our play. I can't stand how Partey and Xhaka won't attempt to lose their marker when the CB has the ball looking for options. It slows us down in a major way and our attack goes downhill from there on.
