Yeah, he was rusty. Not playing for long patches does that to you.

I still feel we could use him occasionally.

We need Elneny. He was developing nicely under Wenger until his end of season injury and was usually a more reliable option than Xhaka.

He strikes me as someone ready to work within Emery's system, so I think he,'ll be staying.

He was mediocre overall, but his role in the counter for the second goal was pivotal. Sadly, other than Torreira, we don't have anyone who actually tracks back and is comfortable playing even simple passes when pressed in defence.

Bang average player. With Matteo in the ranks and Willock coming through I think Elneny will be gone soon.
A new era.

We can get much better imo. He was a fantastic signing for 5m or whatever petance it was, but if we want to progress we need better.

People need to remember he cost us fk all and isn't terrible, he's a half decent squad player and was actually good end of last season, he's regressed a little bit but we need bodies at the moment and not every player can be a top star .......... we can't afford it.

The Elneny's, Lich's, Iwobi's are helping us get over the line when our starters are fked.

He’s done, nice guy and I liked him but he’s so bad it’s not even funny anymore.

Control awful
Passing average
Shooting dreadful

I know his confidence must be low and we need numbers for now but he should be sold in summer imo.

Thinks changed, I guess.
Emery clearly doesn't rate him and ElNeny only played 60m in the PL. He probably wants more playing time.

Rubbish Player. Always hiding.

Elneny is truly a waste of a player in Midfield, has not transitioned play once. Please shift him off. Has done nothing as an intermediary

We have guendouzi, xhaka and torreira. We should be able to rotate the three without the need to play elneny.
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

Our midfield is a total disaster when we go with a Guendouzi - Elneny pairing. Our over-reliance on Granit + Torreira combined with an absence of Ramsey

Sell.

I'm done with him.

He was better when he played as a full CDM last season, he's a simple guy, should of kept it that way.

As a full CM he looks like a clown.
