Mustafi actually started pretty promisingly but faded w/time. Both were established stars when they joined Arsenal.
If things don't pan out it is hardly the recruiters fault.
Remember Veron and DiMaria of ManU? Soldado of Spuds?

I expected more from Xhaka and Mustafi, you don't play for Valencia if you are shit and Xhaka looked good in the Bundesliga.

The Premier League has a way of making good players look mediocre, I mean Forlan and Veron both looked average at best but we all knew they were quality players.

I still think Mkhi can do a job for us, in the right system.

A German mate of mine is a Gladbach supporter, and told me at the time that Xhaka was a talented footballer, but overall was a liability as he committed so many stupid fouls.

He wasn't wrong.

We should do what united have done with Sanchez and let him move on a free transfer to free up the wages

That's apparently what we have done.

Serie A suits him. wlWish we had a midfielder with his finishing ability though.

will still get £0 when he leaves thanks to the transfer market genius of chuckle brothers Gaz + Wengz

If Coutinho deal falls through he'll be back and I'm optimistic about his abilities. Biggest mistake Unai made was to let both Ramsey and Mikhi go w/ o replacements, and we suffered the whole season for lack of creativity. Dumbest manager we have had ever.

Mkhitaryan joins Roma

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined Serie A side AS Roma on a permanent basis.

Micki leaves us following his season-long loan in Italy. We have agreed to terminate his contract with us by mutual consent to allow him to join Roma in a permanent move.

The Armenia international joined us from Manchester United in January 2018 and memorably marked his first Premier League start for us with a hat-trick of assists in a 5-1 win over Everton.

During his time with us, Micki helped us reach the 2019 Europa League final and he claimed a total of 13 assists and scored nine goals in all competitions as a Gunner.

A history maker for his country, Micki is Armenia's all-time top goalscorer and has been named Armenian Footballer of the Year nine times.

Everyone at Arsenal thanks Micki for his contribution to the club and wishes him all the best for his future with Roma.

Great to get rid, but just shows how bad our business has been over recent years that the only way we can get rid is by terminating his contract.

All for it of course but it doesn’t raise any transfer funds, might save us a bit but Roma paid a chunk of his salary anyway so it may not be that much. Will probably need to do the same with a number of others as no one is going to by them.
