Grade 2 medial ligament injuries usually take between 6 and 8 weeks to heal.

If that's the case, it's season over I'm afraid.

An absolute crying shame that he's injured. As soon as he went down a minute after treatment for the initial clash I thought 'oh oh'. To be honest the moment he was awarded his second potm in succession, the countdown was started on his seconds from disaster.
Whether it is appreciated or viewed as a threat, really good players, you know, those that stand out from the rest of us and inspire you to greater efforts because you're proud to be in the same team as them, they tend to recognise other good players straight away and connect like kindred spirits. Mkhi has connected with Mesut and Pierre in particular in the same way Mesut himself did with Santi and Sanchez. To me, having HM and MO in the same team is inspiring the unjustly maligned Rambo to step up and show he is not a cuckoo in such company. Whilst the impact from Santi's absence on both Ozil's and Sanchez's game was more obvious, Ramsey has probably suffered more from the Spaniard being out of the team and to me Mkhitaryan is helping redress that balance.
Given the severity of injuries to the likes of Jackie, Santi, RvP, Diaby, Rambo, Eduardo, Rosicky, the football gods have indeed been cruel to us so let's hope things have finally changed and this latest injury setback doesn't go down that all too familiar route of weeks becoming months.

Will be a big loss considering how well he plays in the Europa league and this basically means Iwobi will be starting in the competition.

Iwobi or welbeck. What a choice.

In the end of the day between Lacazette and Welbeck last few games we've accumulated 7 goals between them.

It could be a lot worse.

If welbeck continues as he is then by all means I'll be delighted but he won't. He remains horrific.

In the meantime, can Ramsey play at RM in his position and score goals? When he scores, it's usually through the middle isn't it?

We have Xhaka, Elneny and Wilshere who have all played CM, so can Ramsey be effective in a wider role?

Ramsey has 4 goals and an assist from the right side

So neither of the two star signings we made in January can play in the only competition we have any hope of getting a trophy in.

Marvellous.
