I get that but in this case - selling Mkhi, if the manager does not want to play him and doesn't pick him there is absolutely no way or reason we should keep him. The people in charge of transfers cannot force Emery to include Mkhi in match day squads. So thats what I mean by, if Emery decides Mkhi does not fit into his plans thats as good as putting him on the transfer list, because he won't get any games. Emery has the power to decide who stays, even if he doesn't have the power to determine who comes.

Did create a very good chance Auba in first half. Also his several incissive forward runs were pretty good. But many Final passes lacked direction.

He's never fit hand in glove in the Prem, which is startling as BuLi is closer to the Prem than La Liga or Serie A.

I'm okay with Mkhi as a rotation option. Anything more than that, no thank you s'il vous plait.

can't believe we could have had £60m cash in hand
for a busted Alexis and we chose to trade him in for this guy @200k pw.

He made some incisive runs through the middle and hit a great pass to Auba. Not that bad.

He’s abysmal. I’d get rid of for free.

He is not just consistent enough, few bright spells then invisible, we should get rid.

The one good thing about the failed signings of Mkhitaryan, Mustafi etc is I feel we've learned from it and these sort of deals (hopefully) won't happen again. If Raul and co. had been in charge in the summer of 2017, we'd surely have been pragmatic, taken the cash for Alexis and then reinvested immediately.

He's becoming the midfield version of Mustafi.

Him, Elneny and Mustafi are by far the worst senior players in our squad

Give Elneny a break, he never got much of a chance under Emery.
