I'd sell Feo for 2.5 pounds, let alone 2.5 mill

He could give Crystal Palace their first PL goal. The way their season is going, he could score all of their goals.

Sterling was what, 48m?

Theo is far better. Twice as much but unrealistic to sell for 96m

70m would do

Lol at people thinking Southampton can afford that

70m for Theo.. You don't believe that yourself, Cripps. Even if theo were twice as good as sterling (which he isn't), age is a big factor. Theo is 28, sterling was 20, I think.

Realistically though I think we will be looking for offers in the region of 15-20m probably, when we sell him.

I'm not his biggest fan, but just like with Ox, there is just no point in selling him if no superior successor is brought in.

Very hypothetical, of course, as there is no indication of him wanting to move elsewhere and sacrifice a pay cut to make it possible.

Unless we're willing to sell him for less than £20m, I can't see any other club opting for the purchase. He won't take a pay cut and his wages are between £130k - £140k. In four years, that becomes around £25m. Would a club like Southampton spend £25m + the transfer fees for a 28-year-old who is an inconsistent and limited winger? I doubt it.

The only way I can see it happening is if we sold him for £10m + performance related add-ons. That would at least make it an affordable proposition for Southampton and such clubs. If Everton are interested, I can see them going up to £20m for him.

Nonetheless, as Zenith said, selling him would work only if we bring in a better replacement. I would have opted for his sale in the summer, while we retained the services of Lucas. That didn't happen.

In January, with the EL, FA Cup, and potentially the League Cup, we need squad options. If there's a replacement out there, great, it's time to ship Theo out. If not, keep him put for this season and sell him in the summer.

Sell him and promote Nelson to take his minutes if we really insist on not signing anyone.

Of course signing a sick replacement like gelson Martins would be preferred.

No problem with him being sold if we have a 20 goal replacement RW

Not technically selling him if you are not receiving fiscal remuneration, surely .... but I take your point :)

Cripps, Theo better than Sterling ? How ? 20 goal replacement, why ? He managed 20 goals in all comps once in all his time with us.His goal returns by season:

2, 8, 5, 4, 11, 9, 21, 6, 7, 10, 19.

Pretty good for a right winger.

In fact that's brilliant.

Keep him

Also Sterling is terrible. You just have to watch him to know that. But he plays for the media darlings so nothing will be said about how bad he is and has been for years.

Rumours are that Marc Overmars could be coming back that puts Feo even further down the pecking order
