Most keepers would go the other hand and flap it in.

When you're the GOAT, you save it

Much needed game for him after his horror show on Monday.
Made a mess of an early shot that almost cost us a goal (should've) but he rebounded well tonight and made a string of good saves and then did well in the pen shoot out.
Hopefully will give him some confidence as he's looked very shaky so far this season.

Jumped early on that last save in open play, lucky gravity didn't take that away from him, but the force was with him today, long may it continue because we're going to need it.

Still don’t feel confident with him in goal on another day that shot he parried into a danger area for Minamoto to hit the crossbar is a goal.

Other goalkeepers would hold it or get it out far enough for no one to rebound.

Some great saves in there, come on Leno, don't give me a reason to want Emi back.

I'm so glad he has stepped up, i was concerned that without Emi breathing down his neck he would become to comfortable, i just hope he keeps it up, last season he would pull of spectacular saves in 1 moment and in the next let in something stupid

Thanks for that, if only he has a more commanding presence in the box, sill he might develop that, lets hope so.

I guess Martinez has had the advantage of playing in English football for so long so used to crosses in English football. Its Leno's 3rd season now, hopefully he will adapt.

I don't think German keepers in General like to catch the ball, I have images of Oliver Kahn and Jens Lehmann punching the ball a lot and I am sure Manuel Neuer punches the ball instead of catching it when challenged

Emi would have save that with ease or most goalkeepers tbh
