We always had more than £50m to spend on transfer fees. Ornstein confirmed on the BBC that the £50m figure he quoted was with amortisation taken into consideration.

Lichinsteiner = free
Sokratis = 16m
Torreira = 22m
Gelson = free if the rumours are true
Leno = around 22-25m

that = under £60m

they said we had £70m (6 internationals for 70m is insane business)

If we buy Soyuncu for £30m and sell Mustafi for £20m then we are bang on £70m.

I still think 1 midfielder is going to be sold tho, maybe Jack released because he wants guaranteed starts and he wont get that here.

It's worth remembering that if we do sign Martins on a free you can be sure we'll be paying out some fat loyalty bonus and agent fee.

thats true we have free'd up a lot in wages letting Santi and Merte go so wages wont be to much of a prob cos Gelson wont be getting much more than £100k a week imo.

If Jack goes even more, but like i said before, we would be seriosuly short on home grown if any british player leaves.

keep cech for experience and play cup games and teach leno sell ospina. leno is top keeper from what my one leverkusen friend said very commanding in the box and good shot stopper hopefully he can provide confidence to soyuncu and sokratis . I am happy to see emery add the right type of players to get us going defensively because offensively even without a winger we are in good shape. we should play a 4-4-2 diamond shape laca-auba ozil cam and ramsey xhaka torreira mid or ramsey mikhi torreira in home games .

Apparently he was really poor last season and he's an error prone goalkeeper from what I've read

Seems like another Szczesny as in the Arsenal version not the new and improved one

Not really much you can do about that other than stamp down potentially divots as soon as he gets to his goal before kick-off

If Cech made that mistake I’d want someone to throw a brick at his helmet head
