Think neither wanted to be 2nd choice. It was a difficult call, since until Leno was injured and Emi started to play regularly, Leno was in pretty good form.
But last season Leno did make some terrible errors which cost us games and important points during the run in.
But many top GKs have been making crucial mistakes like DeGea, Pope even Alison and the rest. Confidence is the key really.

Now we want to spend 32M on Ramsdale who’s probably not even as good as Leno, can’t really say considering Ramsdale always has the worst defences to work with.

There was actually a time when Szczesny, Fabianski, Martinez where all at Arsenal together which is weird to think, they cost about 5M in total if you combine their transfer fees.

If we add Ramsdale to our ranks for 32M and combine his transfer fee with Lenos and Runnarsons, the three clowns put together will cost 55M in total.

Arteta was asked about Emi yesterday. Obviously, he couldn't come right out and say it was a mistake but you could tell by his facial expression and body language (and his convoluted answer) that he knows it was a huge error.
The goalkeeping position is certainly a worry. In pre-season Leno doesn't look like he's overcome the moments of panic he has when under pressure.
He's a great shot-stopper, but when he has to think and make a decision, he's terrible. Not the right choice for playing out from the back.
