I feel the same way.

He is still a solid keeper and 4m is a joke

We may as well just stick this guy on our bench until his contract runs out, he ain't that bad, a bit flappy maybe.

Finally, a transfer where we actually make a profit.

We paid Nice 5m we sold him for 4m - are you sure we made a profit? Very good to get his wages off the books, but let's face it 4m barely covers Ozil's salary during his summer holiday ... this was about freeing up salary budget, probably to give Auba and Lacca a pay rise to stop them leaving us ... such are the pressures we face ...

↑ The 4m is euros, not pound sterling.

Additionally, Arsenal received a €1m loan fee, which, at the time, was approximately £895k.

    2014/15
Arsenal → €4m to     OGC Nice   (buy)
    2018/19
Arsenal ← €1m from SSC Napoli (loan)
    2019/20
Arsenal ← €4m from SSC Napoli (sell)
    = €1m profit

However, that's without taking into account market inflation, potential agent fees, signing on -and other bonuses and other factors we're not privy to.

All in all, it'd be fair to assume we've made a minor, negligible profit or loss.

We've made profit on most transfers.

Cazorla and Podolski, no, but that was expected.

We lost on Welbeck, Lucas, Chambers, etc.

The major losses on transfer fee would be Alexis and Ramsey. However, nobody would claim that we didn't profit by having them. Just not through the transfer fee.

The blunders are Xhaka and Mustafi. There's no way we can ship them out for the alleged £35m we paid for them.

Lists majority of transfers and we've made losses on all of them.... :hail:

Ox aside, who is it we've made a profit on? Walcott too maybe, but both are very old transfers

David Ospina has left the national team camp and has headed back to Colombia in order to attend to his father who is having health issues.

Arsenal.com
Goalkeeper David Ospina has joined Napoli on a permanent transfer, following a season on loan at the Serie A side.

Image

David joined us from Nice in 2014 after six seasons in Ligue 1, and made 70 appearances during his time with us. He was our goalkeeper in the 2017 Emirates FA Cup final win over Chelsea, and was also in the squad for the 2015 FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa.

With 98 international appearances, David is the most capped goalkeeper in Colombia’s history and also represented his country at two World Cups – in 2014 and 2018.

We would like to thank David for his contribution to the club and everyone at Arsenal wishes him the best for his future.

The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Good keeper, didn't get much credit round these parts, but even at £2m he was outperforming Cech a lot of the time.
