So extreme opinion where Giroud is called names and held responsible for everything wrong with the team is fine especially when he is scoring crucial goals to save our arse plenty of times. On the one hand you go preaching about extreme opinion yet agree with a post which labels him a curse. You are entitled to your opinion but don't place yourself on a high moral pedestal when you yourself don't leave a stone unturned to undermine his contribution.

Spot on. His mentality this season has been superb.

Yes he might not be the most gifted of players but he's a quality option to have and will get you goals.

well, if we extend giroud then my frustration will be extended as well. kiss a WC striker good buy. I don't get how anyone can be happy about this.

so much for wanting titles. 5 years of Shiite for the most part and this good run of form earns an extension. makes complete sense....NOT!

giroud does not suit our style of play, never has and never will. I can agree with supersub when/if you are chasing a game late and banging balls into the box, but we are a small ball type team, nothing's changed but the old Grinch thinks the lamp post suits when he clearly doesn't. his link up play falls short cuz he can't stay on his feet. for all his size, he gets tossed around by CB's for a majority of the time. aye, he's scored some goals as of late, but he's missed his fair share as well. I'm just over him and this crap show that's just a polished turd now. we've been clamoring for a WC striker since RVP, we sign this guy and haven't even sniffed a title run with him.

But yet it's funny how he can be complete crap for 80 or so minutes and buries a late game winner/tie, all is suddenly forgotten.....and against b-mouth and PNE! did you lot forget about last seasons great run of 15 or so games without scoring? and don't even bring up euros, because when he faced a solid defense in the final, he bottled it up as usual.

I'm with starman, I want us to win, win and win.....but this clown being extended is just a big farce and wenger is such an idiot. henry was right, we will never win a league title with the likes of giroud up top. you guys can be happy for him all you want, but he's not enough....plain and simple. and that's my gripe, we have settled on a guy that hasn't really contributed anything except for lately and guess what, we are still in 5th place!! if you are satisfied with that.....then I'm sorry, that's not good enough.

quite possibly going to make it to 100 arsenal goals before the end of the season at this rate, and it is certainly not unlikely that he will reach 150 for us with this new deal that is mooted.
deserves some respect, even if he clearly is not that answer.

Giroud staying or leaving has nothing to do with Wenger signing a top striker. He would have signed a top Striker already if he wanted to. Problem is Wenger not Giroud.

Its black and white at Arsenal, Wenger is a dufus so you better believe that if Giroud extends his contract Wenger won't buy the quality striker we need to take us to the level we should be at. In a way it is not nice for Giroud because its not his fault Wenger is a bloody idiot but he takes the anger from irate and frustrated fans.

Giroud should not be our first choice striker .. or second for that matter, a squad member, sure why not. but whilst we have Giroud Wenger will be like "Giroud is like a new signing" and that means we are fooked for another 3 or 4 years.
