Because to me, with the perpetual movement, vision, intelligent play and sheer graft that Sanchez and lacca both offer complimented by Ollie's ability to hold the ball and bring others into play as well as his own scoring prowess and skill set and all 3 being fed by ozil, it's a no brainer. Whilst most see how the triumvirate of AOL works well together, have we forgotten that ozil, Sanchez and Giroud also have a good and PROVEN natural connection together. Add to that that the Frenchmen play together nationally and I can find no obvious reason why we are ignoring this combination for the sake of having an extra defender in the team and playing a formation that doesn't compliment our style of play compared to the 4;2;3;1 we would play with this set up. We still concede stupid goals with three at the back so why sacrifice Giroud for an extra ineffective defender? Lets defend from the front and at least have a chance of scoring more than the opposition. Everyone is giving plaudits to man City for their set up so again I ask why the hell can't we do similar and after all we were the original Barcelona lite weren't we?

worthwhile experiment, imo

We're missing a guy who went 10 games without a goal and has scored less than Lacazette this season?

This is reaching beyond belief.

Again desperation has made Arsenal fans crave mediocrity.

Lacazette is on 9 now btw......

Common point being the manager and midfield behind them creating nothing

We're not missing Giroud, we're missing what we have been missing since fkin RVP left.

A proper top class striker.

RVP had an actual midfield behind him as well. I get your point, but even prime RVP would be going 4-5 games without a goal with the dreadful service that is Iwobi and Welbeck

Lacazette being expected to replicate rvp is the problem. Lacazette is not at that level. If we want someone in the near term and at that level, the club would need to spend/should have spent big, a notion that seems foreign to them
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

i doubt that.. RVP was much more than a striker.. he would drop deep to collect the ball and work it up. he could also create his own chances.

Yes, which is why I said 4-5, because he's twice the striker Lacazette is.

We missed the option of a player who has scored and has 5 assists against Bournemouth in 290 mins

Anyone think Giroud can become a legend here at Arsenal?

No not really, he's a decent sub and scores some spectacular goals but when he starts games he's largely ineffective.

Ok player to have as a sub, but in reality not the type of quality a club of this size should ever have had as their number 1 striker.

Not in a million years.

Henry, RVP, Bergkamp, that's all I have to say.

If Giroud is the measurement of a legend no wonder your particular section of our fan base is ridiculed.

This legend of yours is ignored by every major club in world football, they wouldn't even pay more than £20m for him.

The last club that were interested in him was Everton, that says it all point blank.

You embarrass me as an Arsenal fan.

What's next .......... don't tell me your Wenger in as well?
