Giroud was benched for a large chunk of last season so do not understand these favoritism theories. The pure unadulterated vitriol that some have for Giroud clouds their judgement to such an extent that every theory has to be propagated with Wenger's love for Giroud.

Every player has to earn their spot in the team and Lacazette is no exception to it although it is understandable he gets the first shot at starting spot. We live in an era even the likes of Messi's starting spot was questioned not so long ago when he wasn't at his best so every player has to EARN his spot.

Please correct me if I am wrong but Giroud has produced less that 15 goals per PL season since he has been here, not good enough to be starting games.

If he was always the plan B then I wouldn't mind but while he is here Wenger will start him, he is 29yo and not getting any better so sell him now that there's interest and get a younger striker.
