Not really. Mustafi won bare tackles/battles, he jist made lots of high profile mistakes. Earlier in the season partnered with Holding he was much better.

Xhaka played lots of passes forward into the final third, he was our most consistent performer in that respect. Considering he played lots of games when Ozil and Ramsey didn't he was the only player in the team able to play the ball forward to the forwards or wing backs.

So neither stat is unbelievable, on the contrary, they are very believable. Still want Xhaka and Mustafi sold though.

They've been resorting to that stat for years now because he rarely finishes top the table for assists amongst Arsenal players or his Premier League rivals.

It’s worse than that mate. They moved on from Chances created King, on to Pre-Assist King (Pass before the assist pass King).

On some other forums it reached fever pitch this season where they are now saying “At least he is our biggest Jersey Seller”. So, he pays for his own £350,000 a week wages through Shirt sales.

Why would anyone want to get rid of a player who can do this rather than get the best out of him.

Because he doesn't do it often enough and his obscene salary is stopping us signing three 115k a week players .... that's why

It’s the managers job to bring more such performances out of him. And no you’re not going to get three top players for his salary. You’ll get three mediocre ones like Mustafi or kids like Guendozi. I’d rather have one world class player thank you very much.

That's your call but remember our three mediocre players Iwobi - Xhaka - Torreira on a combined salary off under 200k a week contributed 9 goals and 10 assists - how many did your one world class player on 350k a week provide playing in exactly the same team?

A player like Ozil when used well can be the difference between a draw and a win. The other three can’t. Also I reject the notion of replacing one good player with three mediocre ones cause ultimately one will play while two will sit on the bench. Ozil hasn’t been playing to his level that’s for sure but we’re i the manager id look to improve him not sell him.

The excuses won't stop. Some are just delusional and it will stay that way. If Ozil could make the supposed difference between a draw and win, he'd be the bargain buy of the summer for any club. His transfer value is rock bottom so it shouldn't take much to shift him on. But we'll see. Football will talk because he will go to a better club if he's still that good.
