You people will regret the day he leaves.

Joined Arsenal during the banter era. Won 3 FA Cups with us—making us the most successful FA Cup side in history. Brought the house down against Chelsea, ManU, Dortmund, Liverpool, and Bayern—in big game performances that are as good as any in the Emirates era. Arshavin vs Liverpool, van Persie vs Chelsea, Cazorla vs City, Alexis vs ManU.. What else?

Would have won the title on two occasions had our manager not lost the plot.

Tsk, tsk. True Arsenal hero.

We're in disarray.

Misinslat going, Ozil going, Ramsey going.

That is everything good about AFC.

Is this AFC under Kroenke? 100% owner now, not just part owner.

We're such an unlucky bunch, tbh.

We had Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and never managed to win the Prem.

We weren't even close to winning the league, we did well to win the Cup. Both Sanchez and Ozil were Spanish rejects and hardly Ronaldo and Messi, so no reason to think they were capable of dragging us to the title.

We've been saying we need a clear out for a while....only didn't expect a clear out of our best players! Gonna be a rocky second half of the season for sure!

Can we not bring Wilshere back to replace Ozil?

Play a diamond:
------ Toreira
--Xhaka - Banega
Niles - Wilshere - Iwobi
------ Auba

That leaves us with a mouthwatering balanced midfield and attack

Oh, come on.

Spanish rejects? Ozil rejected Ancelotti and Real Madrid. He wanted to move. Real wanted him to stay. Ronaldo wanted him to stay. The only time ever Madridistas protested were when Ozil left. Ozil's stats at Real are unreal.

Alexis simply didn't fit at Barca. Of course, you're never going to be the man in a side that has Messi.

We had arguably two of the best players in the Prem—arguable because of Hazard and Aguero—and we did f**k all in the League.

That is where Wenger lost the battle.

If we had bought Higuain in 2013, we'd have won the title that season. If we had Lacazette in 2015/16, we'd have won the title for sure. Wenger's biggest blunders at Arsenal.

Wow, I admire your optimism, but you can't win the title on the back of a couple of players! I think its easy to forget this but for the past ten years, anyone who knows anything about footie, knows that what we needed was a spine of steel in the side. We had nothing of the sort! For us to have won the league we needed a (for example) Kompany in defence, a Fenandinho in midfield and a Higuain up front. We have been too fragile for too long.

Ozil's Real situation doesn't matter since he became an Arsenal player half a decade ago.

Since then he has broken the 10-PL assist barrier only once.

We raked Giroud over the coals for his 12-15 PL goals constantly and yet Ozil's pathetic PL return excuses him because somehow he's world class.

And just like that Leicester City won the title...!!!

Boom.

15/16 was ours. There's no question about that. It was a colossal Wenger failure.

Angelito wrote:My question to you folks is who do you think we could get to replace someone of Ozil's quality even if we sell him?

We're not getting Isco, who's not Ozil quality but still.

I doubt any top class player would want to play for Emery after this fiasco and the Neymar/Cavani one before. We won't offer anyone as high wages for them to sign regardless of other factors.

Alexis and Ozil are the last two world class players we signed. The players we're linked with since Emery's come here have mostly been at Xhaka's level. There's Lacazette and Aubameyang—both who signed when Wenger was here. Auba even said that he signed for Arsenal to play for Wenger.

Does Emery have the clout to attract such players? It's debatable.

But if you people think that getting rid of Ozil means we'd be signing quality players, oh boy, brace yourselves.

Of course, I'd rather we kept Ozil and binned Emery.

I think some of us live in the real world while some of you guys are stuck in the Ozil bubble.

The way you talk about Ozil one might be led to believe that he has been mesmerising the EPL in his time here and the only thing keeping up afloat. You refer to him like the be and end all for The Arsenal. One might think you are talkimg about the likes of Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Cesc, RVP, Santi etc..

I keep saying that you guy overrate and overhype him too much. Just be objective and look at the outside factors to determine if he is as good as you keep saying.
Eg,
1, Madrid forced him out, not a single serious club came in for him apart from Arsenal. Imagine a so called World class player / Best No10 in the world at his peak (24-25 years old) could not attract any big club to sign him.

2, He had his best ever season at Arsenal (2015) assist-wise, but not even any rumours about the big clubs showing any interestfor him.

3, Runs down his contract and still not a single big club showed any interest in him. Apart from China (this tells you all you need to know about where Ozil is right now).

4, Forced to retire by Germany.

5, It looks like Arsenal are also trying to force him out.

Imagine Ancelotti, Mourinho and Chelsea and United, Pep, Klopp, Emery etc all not interested in the so called best No10 / World class player (Ozil).

Don’t you ever sit back and think deeply about all these factors? The most evidence outside of Arsenal shows that you guys live in a bubble when it comes to rating / evaluating Ozil.

That was a tragedy.

The year LCFC won, even with Alexis out injured, had Wenger brought in a midfielder to replace Santi, we could have won the title that year with Ozil carrying us. Either that or a striker that could have scored goals when Giroud went missing for a long stretch. The title was ours that year and Wenger wasted it away.

If he had bought a midfielder AND a striker, we could have won at least 2 titles, in the last decade.

Wenger shot himself and the team in the foot due to his arrogance.
