Has Ozil lived up to everyone's opinion since he signed? (none of this, "well in 2013/14 1st half yes, 2014/15" no bollx) just a straightforward yes or no.

For me, although I think he's an unbelievable talent and the closest technician since Lord Dennis..
...NO.

over to you guys.

You live up to expectations, not opinions. And then too it depends what one's expectations are. He provided 19 assists last season, one shy of the league record. He did live up to my expectations.

Good build and challenge on my phraseology. Seriously. It's still a NO though from me. :naughty:

What were you expecting, out of curiosity?

To lift us to another level in a similar way that Dennis did, to inspire those around him to raise their games. Imo he hasn't done either of those although I will admit he has been sublime on occasions, he hasn't met my aforementioned expectations

Hmm I don't know mate. When Ozil was rumored to be joining us I didnt think wow the next bergkamp. Bergkamp was a true second striker, Ozil is more of a provider. He depends on others to take his final ball and stick it in the back of the net. It's a little different from bergkamps role.

i agree mesut hasn't dragged us like sanchez does but he's absolute quality and we should just be glad to have him here. We need to add more quality players and ditch some of the shit before moaning about ozil.

Everyone please read this.

You lot that's criticizing Ozil have no idea what you're talking about. When we are surrounded by mediocrity, Ozil should be the least of our concerns.

Ffs leave your agendas and look at the team, bar Ozil and Alexis. Such nonsense being sprouted in this thread.

This. This. And this.

Seems like many have short memories. Ozil put us on his back during a large portion of last season when Sanchez was in a funk. Now, it's Sanchez's turn to carry us while Ozil is in a rut. And people have forgotten how much Ozil's arrival led to a period where our players rose to Ozil's level—the most notable being Ramsey's godly half-season purple patch.

I've had the second line in my sig for damn near two years now (or very close to it), and it doesn't appear like I'll be removing it any time soon. Sadly, a large portion of our fans aren't woke to his genius.

Kronke just sub-let his stadium in LA to the Chargers ... wonder if we'll be sub-letting to Chelski anytime soon ...

Like what? :dizzy:

Kompany, Viera, Terry, Vidic, Wes Morgan
all recent(ish) captains of premier league winning sides .
One thing they have in common is they are all big old boys.
horribly unfair but it seems Height=Leadership much of the time.
