I mean to be fair, last season when Ozil played under Mikel it was in a 4-2-3-1

We're now playing 3-4-3 and I don't see how Ozil fits into that system other than playing him out-of-position on the right of the 3.

It's a shame that Arteta seems hellbent on sticking to the 3-4-3 even against weaker opposition. Perhaps if we're able to bring in Partey / Aouar we may see a change back to a formation that allows us to control the midfield again and with that may come an opportunity for Ozil.

The player has right to play out his contract.
The club has a right to not pick him for what ever reason they can dream up.
