German media's treatment of Ozil has been shameful. Without Turkey exercising some kind of border control and taking up to 2 million refugees themselves, the numbers in Germany would be double or triple what they are.

Ozil shakes the hand of NATO head of state and suddenly he is a fifth column traitor to his country. Pathetic.

Amen.

Its partisan politics and its shameful.

Its this pathetic online name and shame them culture we have today, its like mob mentality where a bunch of pathetic weak individuals think they're relevant by joining in hammering down on an individual for any minor infraction if its even an infraction at all.

Ozil did nothing wrong, he's not even endorsing his politics ffs.

I'm glad he has stood firm over this. welcome home to Arsenal Mesut, fk Germany off.

Goal | Mesut Ozil decided to cut his holiday short and make an early return after speaking to his team-mates about Emery’s training sessions. #afc

So the part 2 would be about what happened during the world cup? I can't wait.

He is not addressing the issues between Germany and Turkey. I'd be pissed if I was German

Also repeatedly addressing Erdogan as "President Erdogan" but then just saying Angela Merkel. Lol, it's not a great statement after that long silence. Pt 2 is a bit better though, pointing out the hypocrisy about there being no fuss when Matthäus met with Putin.

Best decision he's made. He's been the scapegoat for a long time, even before the pic with Erdogan. The good results just made the critics silent. He was never appreciated enough in Germany.

As a german I will miss him in the Mannschaft, but I'm happy that he can fully concentrate on his career with Arsenal

Funnily enough, radically different players though. But agree Cesc had better vision imo, Ozil better technique and execution, also better dribbler.
