Barring subs forced by injury, our bench can cause all sorts of issues.

I'm expecting a first half with no frills and lightly supported attacks, 2-3 subs second half and pressure to be put on.

I'm expecting spurs to come at us early doors and then shut up shop and counter harder if they get the lead.

Basically one wants to finish this early (poch)

One wants a grand stand finish (emery).

And yet he kept things ticking over when we were down to 10 men.

Especially in the first half, him and kolasinac were linking up very well.

Ozil wasn't electric today as it was a pretty end to end game however he's a live threat every time we go forward and that threat makes teams have to rush back to deal with his carving passes which release other players to do damage.

A few times he got "offside" and if he got through it could of led to something, he makes our attacks have substance because unlike players like AMN or Iwobi who get forward but don't have the end product, Ozil does have that, which causes stress on our opponents every time we have a decent attack.

It was us having our capable players out on the field which caused Utd to not run rampant, same thing in the 2nd half when Utd were really trying to push, we sent on Suarez and Iwobi to pin them back with pace and that's when Utd just quit.

He's an essential part of our offence and that's that and on his day he's nigh WC, he's the top player we have and are paying for, we'd be stupid to try and oust him rather than use his talents.

I think people see what they want to see with him if I'm honest, especially those fully invested. I have no real horse in the Ozil race other than the fact he earns too much for what he does.

Today I saw a player who added very little to our attack, and at times actively hindered it with the wrong decision or a heavy touch, or holding onto the ball too long (something he did 5 or 6 times during the match and was infuriating). I really wanted to see him come into his own with two strikers ahead of him but it didn't happen

Literally anyone can play a pass on the floor for a wing back to run onto. Even Iwobi does it all the time. I expect more from Ozil and when he tried to do more in this game, he looked like a pretender
