Fleeing from the German team? Wtf

I take it people don't know what's happened between him and the German FA. I've been away for the past month so don't know what has been said on here about it but if anyone thinks he ran then they have no idea

No one lauds giroud or ramsey and they played a big part in winning them?

They were both here when we weren't winning trophies.

Ozil has his issues he isn't perfect. he probably isn't world class anymore either, but so what. Our issues go way beyond him though, he's just made the scapegoat for some reason, I guess cause people expect more, and I agree he needs to be better. However he's our best option, so until we sell him then we're stuck with him, like it or not. And please don't tell me Ramsey is better cause he ain't, not at the CAM position anyway. I'm all for getting a better CAM than Ozil, but there aren't a lot of realistic options there, and then of course that's probably not even realistic until next summer.

I have always wanted a philosophy at Arsenal where everyone earns their spot in the team based on their performances and not their reputation. Hopefully we see that under Emery.

The main thing I was worried about Mesut fitting in would be his work ethic and work rate

Yesterday his commitment can’t be questioned, but unfortunately he had a rare off day technically

I must have missed the titles we won 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 with Özil...

Bottom line Ozil has not taken us to the 'next level' in fact we've gone backwards ... his fault? not his fault? who cares that's what happened ....

The ONLY way to get the best out of Ozil is to play him as a CAM surrounded by superstars ... he won a World Cup playing with Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Klose, Lahm, Muller ... he's obviously pure class .... however when that quality dropped Ozil couldn't stop Germany failing ...

He left Madrid to be replaced by a 'weaker' technical player but a better 'workhorse' ... they've won 3 CL titles since .... of course Madrid are full of superstars and may well have won 3 CL titles with Ozil ... but their manager made the tough call and that didn't happen ....

Playing Ozil with ANY combination of our current midfield players will not get the best from him ... the hard fact is we don't have the quality to allow him a free role in tough games like Sunday's ...

The solution is not to get rid of our most gifted player, the solution is to use him when we can, probably 90% of our games, then have the balls not to use him when it's a near certainty he's going to be a liability .... that takes balls Emery over to you ....

We all know we need to add quality not get rid of it ... we just need better tactics for the squad we have now ...

Uh, no. Manager makes fuk all calls over there. It's down to Perez, he just wanted a new toy and had to shift a current one who'd be willing to leave and there would be a half decent team interested in him.

The thing is, I've always admired Ozil as a player, from before his time at Madrid. He plays the game soo differently to 99.9% of other players and when its good, its just a thing of beauty.

However, he's just not what we need right now. A huge shame and a massive waste of money, but we need to progress and we won't if we keep trying to find a place for him.

We also finished outside of the Top 4 for the first time in 20 years when Ozil joined too. We have finished 5th and 6th in two consecutive seasons with Ozil has our supposed best player. Season 3 and we still look like finishing outside of the Top 4.
Is this also due to Ozil? Or only when we do good then it’s due to Ozil and his presence?
