sometimes ozil is , how to say, like a cipehr in games... seems to disappear... or rather never really appears? anyway, if this is what the manager sees in training, perhaps it puts him off? mourinho got rid of and called him a coward. wenger called him a perfect player. a perfect player can do no wrong.

is it his back still? just speculating...

To be honest, I seriously doubt that there's any substance behind that claim. As I've mentioned in the Emery thread, he seems to dodge and deflect a lot, and fails to take responsibility, which worries me a lot, since the demagoguery and arrogance was probably what I hated the most about our previous manager.

I'm not claiming that is what happened, I am specualting upon Emery's strong language.

I mean, there isn't any plausible way that "deserve" gets lost in translation. So, it's either a complete fabrication by the manager for unknown reasons, or he actually meant it.

It may just be trying to justify his team selection or he has a grudge with Ozil, not for anything specific I reckon but because he just doesn't like him as a player. Ozil seems to lack some qualities that Emery rates highly, such as tracking back, work rate, and the like. I'm quite disappointed that he can only see him in that regard and doesn't recognize that he is vital in some matches like today.

I don't think so. He's said as much before when he has left Ozil out for "tactical reasons". He didn't say that today, and I believe he said it purposely and deliberately.

Whether that reason was right or wrong, I don't know, as I don't know the details, but it's pretty strong language.

Yep its one thing to not start a player, but to pretty much show that you dont even want him as an option in a squad that is lacking depth already is just disgusting. As far as Im aware, Ozil has conducted himself in a professional manner ever since he arrived here, so what gives...

Ozil has played his card perfectly by being quiet and professional.

Here's what I think is happening. The board wants to free up Ozil's wages and have instructed Emery to force him out of the team so Ozil asks to be sold. Ozil has called Emery's bluff and is completely fine sitting out collecting paychecks. That way, not only does Ozil's value plummets, he also paints Emery and the board into a corner with an unwanted player on big wages that is not being used.

f**k Emery and the board.

The club wants to force Özil out of the club so they don't have to pay his horrendous wage.

So why give him that wage?? FFS, it was only a year ago they gave him his new contract!!

That argument makes no sense.

Mourinho was not at Real Madrid when Ozil was sold.

Gazidis was the boss back then.

If you noticed the whole agenda against Özil within the club started when Gazidis left and Raul Sanllehi took over.
I'm not surprised about this since Sanllehi worked many years for Barcelona.

Sell Ozil and win the League? I'm not sure what people are expecting.

The part you aren't realizing is that we won't be signing any world class player as long as Emery is here. Forget transfer fees, I doubt any world class player would want to play for Emery after the Neymar/Ozil incident.

He's fallen out with three of the biggest players he's managed.

People here are assuming that we will sign some top players once Ozil is gone. Well, get ready to overpay for Everton-tier player as we consolidate our grip on 6th place.

Daily reminder we've spent more money than Liverpool since 2014.*

Its just a shitty way of dealing with it, if thats the case. Results are being affected when we dont have our best players on the bench.
