38 goals, 66 assists in 200 games, so a goal or assist less than every 2 games

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a January move for Arsenal's 29-year-old German midfielder Mesut Ozil. (Sunday Express)

Imagine thinking Ozil would want to play for Mourinho and behind Lukaku.

Already rejected them once ffs.

He would reject them all day long.

There's absolutely no way he would want to play in Mourinho's current system.

Well glad he's said that after all the "their not getting on" talk.

I said it before, Ozil looks the happiest I have ecer seen him. He celebrates with the players genuinely, fist pumps goals and looks to be enjoying training.

Plus he is getting £350k per week, so he should be smiling.

Just watched MoTD, brought out a wry smile seeing the Eden Hazard analysis. They said under Mourinho he wasn't at his best because Mourinho had him tracking back and under Conte it was the same thing - he wanted him to track back plus he was up top with his back to goal which is not his best role.

Now, Sarri has given him license to go anywhere and he is dropping deeper to get the ball and running at players and we are seeing the best of him.

3 things stand out from that as being what many of us have been saying about Ozil. 1 - he needs to have a free role. 2 - he should not be asked to track back because thats not his game and takes him away from areas he can inflict damage to opposing teams. 3 - good managers get the best out of their top players by identifying where they are most effective.

Significant that Ozil spoke to cameras post-game. Rarely if ever have I seen that. Clearly been told to contribute more as leader as well as on pitch. Good stuff

Manchester United and Arsenal 'set to swap' key players in January transfer window...........................https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... y-15162624

Eric Bailly has been one of Manchester United's best players since he joined in summer 2016 for £30million but he has missed a number of games through injury.

He would fit in nicely with our lot then. All cobblers though, but is it? :tumbleweed:

Nah, rather Utd pay the going rate for a PL experienced mid with 2.5 years left on his contract. That plus a £400k pw package will look hilarious when Utd fail to win the league again.
