I think people forget we have a HG quota to maintain. We're likely going to be selling Jenkinson, Szczesny and Gibbs this summer, maybe Wilshere too. I don't love the likes of Welbeck and Walcott but if we sell them, we'll need to sign other British talent to make up the numbers. Having squad players who do a job and are happy not to play every week is no bad thing, and if they're HG as well then that's a bonus.
