The major question is, will Welbeck break England legend, Wayne Rooney's, World Cup goal record?
They're neck and neck.

Tbf if Welbeck stopped trying to get assists from 6 yards out he'd have more tap ins at arsenalEliteKiller wrote:Wenger's Coat wrote:According to Wikipedia:
15 goals in 80 games for Arsenal (0.19 goals per game)
16 goals in 39 games for England (0.41 goals per game)
What is Welbeck’s secret? How come he scores at twice the rate for England compared to club football?
It can’t be down to the acumen of England managers or the quality of the England team, which has been pretty dogsh*t during Welbeck’s time.
If Emery can solve this puzzle maybe we can get some decent service out of Welbz. But I’m not holding my breath.
Because the English team play to his strengths ... he's scoring from six yards out having been perfectly set up by a teammate ...
Slovenia six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7U3XfJYzQI
Switzerland six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLtVTWSMYnU
Costa Rica six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-C2cnU8Dn0
How often does that happen in an Arsenal shirt? He's always been good at getting onto the end of a well timed ball into the box, he's just not good from >18 yards out ... as an out and out striker playing back-up to Auba he'll do fine ....

Is this some sort of 'funny' comment? Playing to a players strengths seems sensible ... but maybe not in Mike Dean world .... maybe playing to a player's weaknesses is the way to go ... let's play Xhaka as a DM and see how that works out ......
