Welbeck was highly rated by AW, hence why we bought him.

Wenger himself said he would NOT have signed Welbz had be been in the country.

That's Wenger tight arse for you, even with an injured Giroud, he was busy in Italy on TDD, and didn't want to spend "his" money. He wanted him though, look at the rest of his statements from that interview.

Well both parts of what you said can't both be true?

Either he wanted him and didn't mind spending the money or he didn't want him? Only other suggestion is that he thought it was going to be a loan because initially Wele wasn't up for sale.

That's because he was up earlier than usual (why he signed him). He said the signing wouldn't of happened had he been up at the usual time, but since he was travelling, he was early and thus able to sign Welbeck.

It was in response to him being criticised for travelling on TDD.

He wanted him on loan, but because of the low valuation from Utd, he decided to sign him.

Possibly dodgy source but Rafa may be interested in taking him before the window closes. Good deal for both parties if it happens

Danny Welbeck told he’s free to leave Arsenal as Everton eye England striker
Well that is good news indeed if true, King Scuff needs to be gone.

If he is leaving then Perez would stay, right? Otherwise we will be short of forwards.

Unless eddie is ready to play, don't see the point of Selling Wellbeck, especially if you wanna play high pressing.

Wellbeck is weird case, yes he isn't clinical, really through no fault of his own(he has an awkward build). But he's a very useful player. Particularly on a team where the work rate and defending ain't consistently good

Welbs kept getting injured and couldn't produce regular goals, so we brought in more and ended up as a utility player.

Welbs is now not needed other than as depth on the wings.

He is not even needed there. Perez, Iwobi, Mikhitaryan and Nketiah can all play out wide. Guaranteed he is still here only on the basis of his citizenship.

Yes he is, none of those players know how to play wide properly. Danny actually understands the duties of that position. His tactical understanding is severely overlooked, its just his end product.
