An English player? Forced to live and work in a country where English is not widely spoken? Welbeck would sooner sign for Preston North End.

Danny Welbeck hate is funny. Welbz to score a hattrick in his first start at home for Emery.

So never then, since Emery has said previously he could not understand why Arsenal had bought Welbeck?

Welbeck's shitness means he would 100% be racially abused by his own fans if he goes to Turkey.

A hat trick of assists where the ball bounces off his back or a miskick finds its way to Auba is entirely possible.

I think his hattrick against Galatasaray does impress Besiktas' board.

Welbeck is probably the only England player who's value doesn't go up when they score.

He's a lock-in in the English squad and has played for Arsenal and Man United - under SAF and Wenger.

He also has the pedigree of witnessing the retirements of SAF and Arsene Wenger whilst at those clubs respectively.

Man's a legend.

He's managed to forge a career at two of the most decorated clubs in English football history despite being dogshit.

Legend indeed, feat deserves to be commended.

Danny Welbeck (23)

Postby Wenger's Coat » Fri Jun 08, 2018 1:38 am

According to Wikipedia:

15 goals in 80 games for Arsenal (0.19 goals per game)

16 goals in 39 games for England (0.41 goals per game)

What is Welbeck’s secret? How come he scores at twice the rate for England compared to club football?

It can’t be down to the acumen of England managers or the quality of the England team, which has been pretty dogsh*t during Welbeck’s time.

If Emery can solve this puzzle maybe we can get some decent service out of Welbz. But I’m not holding my breath.

Because the English team play to his strengths ... he's scoring from six yards out having been perfectly set up by a teammate ...

Slovenia six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7U3XfJYzQI

Switzerland six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLtVTWSMYnU

Costa Rica six yard line ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-C2cnU8Dn0

How often does that happen in an Arsenal shirt? He's always been good at getting onto the end of a well timed ball into the box, he's just not good from >18 yards out ... as an out and out striker playing back-up to Auba he'll do fine ....
