Usually I'd agree on the age thing but .......... he makes better runs and has better movement than Welbeck has, is more hungry to impress and quite frankly I'd have more faith in him in front of goal than Welbeck, so I say play him.

Why should we let age > talent be a thing? results is all that count and even in his short cameo he looks like a more dangerous player than Welbeck did for 80mins.

The point is, he can't be any worse than Welbeck

The bar is already set low and it's pretty much laying on the ground.

He can actually. Welbeck has better physical presence, stamina and experience in bringing others into the game. Playing Nketiah at this stage runs the risk of shattering his confidence. He needs to be eased into first team football.

Its an Ostrich team we are talking about here.

And I have more confidence in Nketiah converting our chances than Welbeck even at his age.

We should be patient with Welbeck. After all, very few footballers start putting on giod performances before reaching the tender age of 27.

You could use this stock comment about Welbeck after every match he plays and you'd be correct 98% of the time.

To be honest - I have more confidence in Nketiah converting more chances than Welbeck. Welbeck suits a tight game where we don't get many chances in one respect. But Nketiah does not have the physical attributes yet to lead the line.

Nkeitah is more of a poacher and Welbeck is just well useless.... I don't understand how anyone can start but he's good defensively he's a striker (well he claims to be) for f**k sake.

Wellbollocks will never be a striker as long as he has a hole in his ass.

Thankfully it's the Daily Mail.

Would be one of the most undeserved contract extensions in the clubs history.

This.

A washed up manager wanting an utterly useless player to sign a new contract.

Shows the state this club is at.

If he wants Welbeck to stay it pretty much confirms Laca is off. Welbz is a Wonga signing while Laca is a Gazidis buy. Wenger will want to stamp his authority going into what is hopefully his last season.

How ? Didn't Wenger beg Chamberlain not to leave and offer him £150K per week ? Can't see that happening for Welbeck
