We gave away Szczesny, we were left with Cech
We gave away Martinez, we were left with Ospina
We gave away Perez, we were left with Walcott
We gave away Campbell, we were left with Welbeck
We gave away Gabriel, we were left with Chambers
We were about to give away Mustafi, we would have been left with Mertesacker
We're about to give away Mavropanos, we'd be left with Holding

We give away Coquelin, we'd be left with ????????

I'm all for getting rid of deadwood but what would actually be the point if the deadwood is being replaced with worse than deadwood.

how is this even allowed to happen at a football club, let alone at one of the richest football clubs on the planet. ffs

Coquelin is very limited no doubt about it, we desperately need a top quality DM, trouble is Wenger isn't going to buy one, what is it now 10 years since we had a decent one?

Ample time to find a replacement, he's not interested though, instead he buys someone like Xhaka, who can't tackle, can't read the game, can't really pass and then puts him in the teamand won't drop him despite being rubbish.

The next time we'll see a DM is in about 10 years time, when Wenger has finally left, till then expect amateurish defending and no cover in midfield.

Francis Coquelin (34)

Remember when we didn’t need a DM cos we had Coquelin. The arguments I had at the time when I was still asking for a DM!

HE GETS A MOVE TO VALENCIA?

Wow, he's better than I though, I doubt a Championship team would buy Ramsey

But West Ham are premier league rivals. We all play in the same league. It would have been another thing if it said “Arsenals top 4 or title rivals / contenders.

Anyone see Manchester City's Premier League rivals West Ham in an article anywhere? Or Chelsea?

Exactly its not because we're in the same league its because we're currently a mid table team about to lose 1 of 2 players in our whole squad a top 4 team would bother looking at.

We just got beat by Nott Forrest, saying West Ham is a rival is flattering at this point.

Valencia want him on loan and Arsenal want to include an obligation to buy in the contract, apparently:

Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

It's not about if Coq is good or great. He is the only player in this team who can be called a DM. I think Wenger will stick to Xhaka and Wilshere/Ramsey for the rest of the season. And we will be out of top 8 with Xhaka sitting in the DM area but doing nothing.
