Will ensure a 4th spot though. I still would like to see him play in a way kante does. I think coq is better than kante if he focus on being a DM rather than a B2B.

Yeah I don't like this B2B role of his remember when Wenger did the same with song a few years back, prefer Coquelin to sit and do what he's best at.

left in a knee brace, saw somewhere they think it's the same injury as it was against west brom

at least we have xhaka and elneny to come in rather than arteta or flamini

He is very high risk injury player because of his style of play unfortunately.

His reaction suggests it is a bad one, shame because his overall game is looking really good.

Wenger mentioned it post match. Hope he isnt out for as long as he was before, however having Elneny as backup to Xhaka isnt the worst thing at all like you said.

Times past, that injury would have me giving up on the immediate run of games.

Or when a 12-year-old would be warming up to replace him? :P

He was playing some great football. Hopefully these injuries don't become a normal thing for him

Very worried for our midfield without him. The energy and legs are gone

Only shame is we've lost an option but Xhaka - Caz should be our starting pairing for home games anyway. Not sure where this 'great form' came from, he played well against Hull because they didn't pose an offensive threat, prior to that he was turning into Ramsey and leaving us open.

Time for Xhaka and opportunity for Momo, let's go.

If you cant see what coquelin provides and think legs dont matter in midfield. then you havent been watching us during artetas time here

Agreed. He's been superb this season and will be missed.

I'd like to see us use this opportunity to play Bielik in cup games. He came in as a DM and I think he could play a role there. He's going to have a tough time breaking into the CB lineup with mustafi and holding coming in.
