Remember when people said we should him because he's past it and Ramsey/Wilshere are ready to takeover and here we are two years on and no one else even comes close to this man.

I love Santi but it seems like our overestimation of injured players is going on here. After all, he played in midfield when we lost 2 - 0 to Mourinho's relegation-bound Chelsea at SB last season; he even got a red card.

agreed. Love santi but our position in the league wouldnt be any better if we had him

We played 45 minutes with 10 men in that game.

Overrating of injured players happens, this is not one of those times. We'd be half the distance behind Chelsea had he been around.

It's the common theme among our fanbase, especially the excuse mongers, every season. It really does boggle the mind.

I do rate fit Cazorla over both Ozil and Sanchez. too bad that he got old and injuries came one after another.

He will still be remembered as one of the greatest midfielder of emirates era for sure.
