Say what you want about jack, but he really was our only like for like replacement of Santi.

I still can't believe we're having CM depth options while we have a CM loaned out

The depth problems are due to balance rather than numbers though.

Xhaka Coq should be the main pairing while Santi is out imo, Xhaka is the closest we have and Coq will have to go back to the more B2B role we saw in the first few games.

Yeah but that's why Jack would solve it. In terms of Balance he would literally be in between Elneny and Ramsey, and would be perfect for the role if he hit form.

And all this is happening while we're also having a depth problem at wing, while Campbell is at Porto ffs

Just go Wenger

Pretty much.

Wenger doesn't rate Campbell and he never expected Jack to play 5 games in the League..

The drop in quality when this guy isn't playing is just amazing.

We haven't had a single convincing game since he got injured.

hope he's back soon

(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko

Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)

(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Or, maybe trust our 3rd most expensive player ever and give him a run?

I agree, btw. I just don't understand why Wenger wouldn't use the one CM who is known for his passing that we have at our disposal.

Zelalem is probably the best like for like replacement for Cazorla but he's too inexperienced and lightweight, could be worth a gamble though you never know.

We can't be rigid. That's what has cost us over the years. If Santi is injured, we have to find a roundabout way of coping up. We can't be that reliant on an individual player.

Xhaka - Ramsey is something I'd want to try, even if I don't rate Ramsey. If Xhaka - Ramsey doesn't work, Xhaka - Elneny perhaps. I don't want us dropping Coquelin, but we have no choice when we don't have a proper ball-playing CM.
