SO santi had a very very serious injury and YOU SAID NOTHING!!!

A replacement should have been top priority.

AGGH Santi, man, just being able to walk again is the most important thing, if coming back is too much for you ankle don't risk it man. We all love you and we hope you can recover from this hell but i'm really pisse with Wenger on this. Such a horrible horrible injury yet he never told us how bad it truly was.

I think the plan might have been to replace Cazorla with Xhaka. Suffice to say, the plan has been an utter failure.

Naturally terrible news about the severity and skin graft etc but one can't deny the fairytale comeback story in the making for a killer final season or two

Meanwhile our nightmare continues without him.

Not easy to see a comeback of any kind given the severity of his condition.

Get well soon Santi.

Don't really want him to risk being able to walk and play with his kids for the next 30 years just to have 1 or 2 seasons with us.

Love to see him back but hope he takes proper care and thinks about something more than football.

Hopefully he'll be able to do more than just pass and actually provide some end product

Time to hang it up.

Need perspective here.

Ninth surgery? Ugh.

This is heart wrenching. I don't care if he plays or not but I hope this time the surgery turns out fine. As Mike Dean said, it's time he put it into perspective. There are more important things in life than football.

Yeah, as much as I'd love to watch him, maybe it's best for him to retire now, and spend time with the kids. Enzo's quality anyway, could replace Santi in 4-5 years, and be the youngest footballer in the PL ever

- We should have had 10+ penalties .. shit ref
