Coquelin emergency CB imo

Break Costa's legs and get a red card within 5 mins.

Rash, wild, vacuous and petulant defending on a challenge he didn't have to make.

Will be sorely missed in the final I'm afraid.

Haven't seen it but his sending off was announced at Stamford bridge.

Reaction?

Chelsea fans were disappointed. They wanted him to play. Now they live in fear of the mert

We haven't lost a Cup final in which Mertesacker has started. :hiding:

How is that a good thing?

This has been a season of first time things for us.....

We finally beat Chelsea
We finally beat Mourinho
We finally finished below Spurs
We finally finished outside top 4......

So, Wenger will finally be the most successful manager in FA Cup history. ;)

Decent defender but getting on now at 31, always been prone to a calamitous error which causes a goal though, if he'd played wouldn't have surprised me if he'd made one in the cup final, not much good under pressure.

Defence not looking great though, Gabriel who just hasn't worked out, an ageing Metersacker who's as slow as a barge, Koscielny who is getting on and prone to an error, Monreal who is getting on as well, Gibbs who can't defend for toffee and Jenkinson and Dbeuchy who have no future here and were never really good enough.

Holding and Bellerin are the positives, but the rest of the defence needs an overhaul or will need very soon, not good planning.

True but he can learn that I guess, under a better manager.
