We don't need another CB unless we loan Holding and Mavropanos. We have Sokratis, Mustafi, Koscielny, Chambers, Holding, Mavropanos and Bielik. We have more CBs than midfielders (Ozil, Mhky, Xhaka, Ramsey, Elneny, Maitland-Niles). Besides, I don't think Emery will play with 3 CBs.

Sokratis - yet to be seen in Arsenal shirt, poor season last year.
Mustafi - shite after a good start
Koscielny - injured until December and likely to end up like Cazorla
Chambers - may go on loan, okay backup but not shown much yet.
Holding - may go on loan, okay backup but not shown much yet.
Mavropanos - looked good in 1 game, silly red in another, yet to really be seen.
Bielik - actually a DM being played at CB in reserves and spending much of his time last season on loan, not interested in him he's not good enough.

We need a top quality CB to start next to either Sokratis or Mustafi and loan out Holding or Chambers for sure.

Out off the people we've bought, this one worries me the most ............ however.

Day 1 for me is a new start so everyone gets the benefit of the doubt.

I agree with DG. According to Guillam Balague he’s not good on the ball. I really don’t want a guy who hoofs it into the stands every time the ball enters our box. For the past 22 seasons we’ve had guys who are easy on the eyes and that shouldn’t change.
On a personal note, I’m so glad DG and I are starting to see things the same way. Our relationship has turned a corner.

Not seen much of him but I'm willing to blank slate with anyone until proven otherwise.

We're actually signing the guys we're being linked with, its a very strange feeling.

Usually we get linked with players then spend two months playing cat and mouse, calling their parents, wining and dining on the Riviera just to turn around on deadline day and buy Welbeck or Perez instead of Lemar or Higuain.

At least this is straight forward now, Toerriea next, wonder if we'll get anyone else while we wait on Uruguay?

I don't think we're signing anyone else after Torreira

Sokratis is a solid signing we should sell mustafi now and buy soyuncu hopefully movraponos and chamers or holding can step next season torry and a winger is needed hopefully pavon he would do really well here we would be so dangerous with the pace of pavon and auba

There's an unusual feeling that the club are taking care of business and plugging gaps in the squad. We've started seasons with 2 recognised centre-backs available before under Wenger. With some proper defensive training from a newly unleashed Steve Bould, Holding, Chambers and Mustafi will improve.

If we can add a defensive midfielder (and it's 99% done) and a recognised winger I'll be happy but otherwise, we're in better shape at the start of pre-season training than we've been in over 10 years.

Good work Arsenal.

Papa Soko will wear no.5.

Previously worn by O'Leary, Vermaelen, Bould, Touré and Keown, among others.

Don’t be silly. 14/15 summer we signed Sanchez, Welbeck, Ospina, Gabriel, Chambers etc....a much better window.

We needed a DM and a world class centre forward.

We got a world class wing-forward, a bang-average centre forward, a ‘decent’ CB and the DM money went on another ‘project’ at CB.

There were no DMs or CFs available that summer.
