Let's be honest, the Jack the Ripper murders are a better love story than twilight

Sounds like he is a no nonsense defender, excellent !! Just what we need. Bit of steel throughout the team.

Another step in the right direction.

In Emery We Trust.

Diego Costa went to eventual league champions Chelsea that summer
Lukaku went to Everton for 28m

Then there was Suarez who went to barca that season who we could have had a year earlier for half the price

That window we signed Welbeck for 16m when the following players were signed for the same or less during the same window:

Sadio Mane
Mario Balotelli
Emre Can
Dusan Tadic
Eric Dier
Marcos Rojo
Shinji Kagawa
Loic Remy
Toby Alderweireld (loan)
Daley Blind
Alvaro Negredo (loan)

Among others who I didn't include because it's harder to argue that they would have been a better signing.

Those are just the transfers which include English teams

With due respect...
Sadio Mane - not a CF
Mario Balotelli - basket case
Emre Can - would’ve killed Coqs career
Dusan Tadic - who?
Eric Dier - unrated back then in Portugal
Marcos Rojo - not a DM
Shinji Kagawa - not a CF
Loic Remy - where is this loser nowadays?
Toby Alderweireld (loan) - loans don’t work
Daley Blind - shit
Alvaro Negredo (loan) - shitter
Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.

I used to love how Wenger would spout that fkin nonsense when every other word he uttered another team was signing a player.

Glad those days are in the past, pathetic state we were.

Spoke to a German guy I know - Dortmund fan. He says he’s very sorry to see him go. According to him he is a solid defender, has a great attitude, works hard, and off the pitch is an all round good guy.

Looks like we’ve done well.

Well that’s a relief. I was really worried he wasn’t all that.

Been all over the place pre season. Looks slow. Lacks concentration. Hopefully it’s just match fitness

I think we need to do what Liverpool finally ended up doing.

Spend a LOT on a high profile defender.

Our defense is going to be shit once again otherwise.

Why we signed him I'll never know. Rather get Squillaci back.

We can't. He's already retired.
