English right-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles, 22, is being left out of the Arsenal squad because he has been late to training several times this season. (The Athletic)

Our squad is in chaos. Arteta losing it

According to Ornstein M&N has been dropped for being late to training. I hope Arteta can get through to the kid, because he is going to hurt his own future and the club if he does not get his head out.

Amazing what stupid sort of BS Arteta has to sort out post Emery. A 22 year old inmate running a "world class" manager's club.

PnG is going to have a go at you for calling a black player dumb ............. apparently its media bias and racist.

He can go ahead and try, Im black as well and this guy is dumb as rock. He is the only right back i ever seen who constantly makes stupid loose passes. Its like the easiest position not to give the ball away. 3 options, pass back to CB, pass to player ahead or boot it. he is dumb even for Arsenal standards and we have had some really dumb players

Midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, 22, is expected to leave the Gunners when the summer transfer window opens after falling out of contention under new boss Mikel Arteta. (Star)

A shame. Kinda liked him

↑ They're a point below us, plus we have a game in hand.

Burnley level starter it is? :sneaky2:

On a serious note, physically he has all the tools to become a good full back. Mentally he appears to lack that impulse he needs to continue progressing.

From a fan's POV it's difficult to pinpoint whether that's down to a concentration problem or a general lack of discipline (or both) that causes him to zone out more often than you'd like to see.

I like AMN a lot, but from what I’ve read and seen the past few years it seems he doesn’t have the right mentality / hunger.

I don’t see him moving into midfield nor being able to replace one of our wingers. We need to move him on. English, 22 and almost 100 appearances for Arsenal. Should be £25m minimum w/ first option to buy back imo.

Hopefully Bournemouth come in for him for 25m

Ffs they can buy Ibe and Solanke for similar fees off Liverpool and neither are anywhere near as good as AMN

↑ Well, we're Arsenal and over the last decade or two we've sold 90% of our star players/captains for well under their market value.

Whilst COVID-19 continues to negatively influence player value, the relatively recent sale of Ox to Liverpool for an inflated fee does give us a shred of hope.

Good utility player. A Jon Obi Mikel type. Really no need to sell him.

If he leaves, we will need to buy a RB, because Bellerin can't stay fit for even half a season anymore. Ditto for Calum Chambers.
