Kolasinac and Maitland-Niles are absolutely dreadful. Worst full backs to play in a European final

Interesting, he was the one that losted the ball that leaded the first Chelsea goal (assisted by Emerson, the man he was supposed to cover). he fouled giroud giving them the penalty. All the goals started by his zone. He basically failed to defend his side the whole match

It should be obvious by now that he is much better at attacking than defending. As a young player in his early 20s, has a choice of either teaching him how to defend, playing him in a more suitable position or not playing hin at all.

If you read Emery's recent interviews and comments, you'll hear that there is a plan in place to promote youth. I'm paying attention to how players like AMN develop over time. He should be held accoutable for poor performances but it's also down to the manager to handle this properly if youth development is our focus.

He is not PL player. You can find better players all across europes smaller leagues

Thats the point, he can't! He is a shit RB, just because he has been playing there doesn't mean he can play there. He is a CM.

Again I must remind people, AMN is not a wing back or full back, he is not a defender. He is a midfielder that has been asked to fill in at RB.

Yup, AMN is a midfielder and should be played as such. Emery's 3 at the back system has forced a lot of responsibility on him to find the right cross to a striker. That shouldn't come down to a 20yo junior player.

His passing is not good enough to play Midfield for us. AMN natural position is a winger.

Does anyone actually rate Maitland-Niles as anything more than a squad/utility player?
Almost every tackle is a recovery tackle, position play not the best.

It's fine if he's a squad player. We need a major 2013 style clear out of the team anyway so there's room for him in the squad next year.

Who am I kidding, a lot of our EL final XI will still be here come September.

He may have been the only Englishman on the pitch but that was one to many. AMN was no worse than a lot of Arsenal players last night, but he very clearly is not and never will be a top EPL player. Sometimes we just have to say enough is enough ....

Bit harsh to call it a 15 year Arsenal career when the first 10 of them he was age 6 to 16
Sammy Nelson spent 15 years at the club winning the fa cup in 1979 and had played 11 games for Arsenal at the age maitland niles is now

In football terms he is not a youngster and he performed poorly thsi year.
Not good enough unless we're happy with the level we are now.

Yup, he himself claims to be a winger. No, he is not squad quality. If we go back to when we had Denilson et al, the squad players back then were not good enough, AMN is the same as all of those young kids Wenger promoted and none of them were good enough.

We need levels up from that.

The problem with AMN Is that he is too f***ing slow and too lethargic. I think he is the most lethargic and unbothered player to play for Arsenal.

He is older than Guendozi, if he was any good in Midfield, he will get games in the middle ahead of an unknown Guendouzi from league 2 ffs.

The way he is playing now, a 10 minute good game every 20+ plus games is championship level at best.

...sad part, the soccer gods that hate arsenal or our unbothered club management and coaches will not see that AMN is not good enough to train with the 1st team.

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal
