Rosicky was a damn good player, but i doubt he was ever better than cazorla at any point. The reason why he seemed to stand out is because of how he rose to prominence. He easily stood out in the german bundesliga that was devoid of a lot of technical players back then. He was also a member of a national team that had a limited pool of players to choose from, thus the world knew him.
On the other hand, Cazorla played in pain where we had the likes of xavi and inesta, so no surprises he was not much heralded. But Santi has been a baller from day one. Right from his days in villareal he was a wunderkind. The likes of Real madrid pursued his signature before he chose malaga. A technical leader in any side, he was a member of the first spanish national team to win a trophy and he played plenty minutes in that competition (euro 2008). He was however never a staple in the side because of ...................wait for it ....................xavi and iniesta, arguably the best midfield duo over the last 10 years.
Ask about cazorla in spain, highly respected, ambidexterous, skillful, packs a shot in both feet. No way Rosicky was better. Santis first season at arsenal was outstanding as a 10, i doubt rosicky had that much impact at anytime. Scored goals and created with ease. He is definitely better than ozil, who we had no reason to have purchased at a time Santi was playing 10. We should have upgraded in other areas but this is arsenal.......
