I think your looking too hard on this one, if Unai can turn him into anything near decent then he is a magician indeed.

The only time there'd ever be a good player in Iwobi is if the players had an orgy and Auba was in Alfa mode

Every player gets a chance under Emery for me. I'll wait to see how Iwobi develops in a defined role.

He signs, we have all the options if he does well and the exact same options if he does bad. We can always let him go for free if he's that shit.

It wouldn't be for free, we would have to pay up his contract first.

Me too. I don't expect Iwobi to be ever out partying till 3am again now that Emery is here, so hopefully he gets sorted out and becomes a proper player.

Let's see what Emery cam do with him.

If after six months he's still playing like Aaron Lennon, we can get shot of him.

Not really just means that he wasn't the right player for our team/system/league look at Gervinho for instance was better than Hazard in France not the best here and tore it up in Italy.

Lol, he really wasn't. He was a good enough player for Lille, but Hazard alone carried that team to their league title. There's a reason he was awarded player of the year in consecutive seasons. He was head and shoulders above anyone in Ligue 1, and Gervinho didn't even come into consideration.

Iwobi was decent in his debut season but fell off badly last year despite AW giving him a lot of starting roles. If he's more effective as a sub and happy to play as such (unlikely given his age), then he should stay.

Mbappe is 19, its not giving up if they never had it in the first place.

Its more a players mentality than anything when I look at that, look at Torreia who is 22 and Iwobi 21 .......... just complete different level in quality and mentality.

Iwobi looks more like he's on his way to becoming a Welbeck than anything else, if that.

pretty much the average for a squad player at a top club atm

Exactly, plus he has talent in there, needs a loan and/or better coaching to get it out of him. His end product is f***ing awful and his passing has regressed but no reason to give up on him yet, not like he's Welbeck's age with a whole average career. Like Danny but I'd sooner give up on him than Iwobi.
