We went from playing with no CAM to 2 CAMs in a matter of weeks, what should we expect?

Even with 2 CAMs we play molasses-slow football where sideways passing is encouraged and possession is more important than fast counterattacks.

We can't expect him to adjust overnight, especially when he's a loan player and has one eye on returning to Madrid in the summer.

Constantly made himself available but Elneny only managed to find him 3 times. A more competent CM would have had no trouble finding him 8-12 times—even in games like today's.

So Odegaard was rubbish because of Elneny?
That's a new one.
When Odegaard had the ball and made a mess of it, or lost it, or chose to take the easy option and pass backwards, who's fault was that?

Huh? :dontknow:

Few would contest he's had a poor game. I merely pointed out he wasn't helped out by the most negative player on the field today. In possession, anyway. Off the ball Elneny's work ethic is good.

A player who has been at Arsenal for 5 years, as opposed the other who has been at the club for just 3 weeks.

We need a massive change in the CM positions. The double pivot is easily shackled the AM and doesn't have a chance and that effects the overal attack. It was the same when Ozil was here. Not really fussed about Odegaard because he's a loan player but Arteta has to buy better CM's in the summer. We really miss Partey and we need another player of that calibre.

Also, for this particular game, I thought Tierney and Bellerin were poor. Bellerin especially and that contributed to poor ball progression out from the back.

Can't blame the lad tbf, it was all Elneny's fault and Arteta chose to start him so by virtue it's his fault.

Shoud've started Rodri or Gundogan in our midfield to make it fair.

In the end of the day everyone in the team was sht.

Tierney was skying crosses all over the shop, Mari's passing was horrendous, literally kicking balls out of the touch line.

incredibly important goal for his confidence. He's an attacking mid that hadn't scored in more than a year!

Best left-footed #10 signed from Real Madrid with a funny letter O in their name to have ever played for Arsenal imo
