Feel sorry for this guy not a bad player and he probably would have been first choice now had it not been for his injury problem although I rate hector more anyway.

Thinks it's best if him Jenkinson and Monreal are moved on at the end of the season, we need a revamp in the fullback area imo, Bellerin and Gibbs first choice going into next season with two young fullbacks being bought in or promote Niles and buy a LB.

Out for six weeks. Hopefully we sell him in January.

Turned out to be one of Wenger's worst buys.

£13m literally down the drain and that's excluding wages.

We'd be lucky to get £4m for him.

Debuchy - 13m
Perez - 17m (still relatively early days)
Santos - 6m
Chambers - 16m
Welbeck - 16m (still rate the lad but much like Debuchy has been ruined by Arsenals training methods/facilities)

A lot of cash there with very little return.

debuchy was a fine purchase, started really well for us before his injuries, Wenger froze him out for no reason even when Bellerin was playing poorly. Now we have only 1 good enough RB and 2 who are unreliable (1 injuries and 1 just shit).

Should have been replaced in the summer. Not Wenger's fault for how his Arsenal career turned out but it's his fault for not sorting it out in the summer

That goal which knocked United out of the FA Cup was worth the money alone.

on whether he will look around for a replacement right back…
We still have Mathieu Debuchy who is injured and Gabriel who plays there as well. We have Bellerin, so we are not short in this position which is why we’ve allowed one of the players to go out because they have less opportunity to play.

on whether Carl Jenkinson’s possible move means Mathieu Debuchy will stay…
The door is not definitely closed, but it depends on the quality of the opportunities he will have.

I like the questions Wenger was getting at the press conference. It seems there's still a chance Debuchy might stay with Jenkinson leaving all but confirmed and Wenger's recent response regarding Debuchy
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Debuchy can go along with Jenkinson really Bellerin with Niles as cover and Gabriel as cover against good sides is more than enough.

We spend a considerable amount on this guy he's barley reached 50 games yet, I know it's not his fault due to injures and losing his spot but it's better for us to get some sort of return on our investment than letting him go for free at the end of his contract.
