News reports coming out that we've offered him a contract extension for one year. I know he's a fan favourite and he's been a great servant for us, but you can clearly see he is on the wane.

No point keeping him. We need to get rid.

If this is true, then the club's lack of ambition becomes even more apparent.

Who would be coming down the LB pipeline if he leaves? Do we have anybody aside from Kolasinac?

We’re 100% signing a left back

Football.London claim a centre-back isn’t a priority for us

Maybe they're waiting to see how we get on when Holding comes back.

Holding, Sokratis and Kos.

Got to prioritize when you only have £5 transfer kitty.

Love Bobby but it’s a huge risk relying on him

Still think a CB is our biggest concern and should be our main priority

It will probably be quicker to address the positions that we DON'T need.

I'd rather get a world class winger than a world class CB.

My logic is the same that was Wenger's during those drought years: defense wins you leagues, we're not capable of winning it. We'd rather play stellar football and make sure that we beat the other 15 teams consistently and get into the top-4. Defense alone won't get you top-4. Attacking flair most likely will, especially if you can dispense the "lesser" sides.

Plus, offense is the best defense and all of that jazz as well.

Thought he was off lol.

We cannot challenge with Monreal and Kolasinac as our LB

Guess we are keeping him around as CB cover

Need a winger, Ramsey replacement, CB, LB/RB

Sign a young LB and RB.
Sell Mustafi
Buy a CB
Sell Chambers

AMN is our RB. We may buy another if Lichsteiner leaves and Bellerin is still injured.

CB is a priority for Emery. Mustafi is surely gone, and Kos' performances have been a minor miracle, he won't be able to sustain them next season.

We are definitely in the market for a Ramsey replacement, maybe Ozil too.

No room for a new LB, loan signing maybe.

Cech retiring, Ramsey free, Ospina 1m, Lichsteiner free and Welbeck free so 5 are already leaving. Jenkinson, Chambers, Mkhi can be done easily. It would be hard offload, Ozil because of his wages. I’m really worried about Mustafi and Elneny getting any offers

No, which is why we need a left-back urgently as even Kolasinac, in my opinion, is absolutely garbage. He can't defend for toffee.

Lets just wait and see if there is any truth to this Monreal extension rumour, but it is a big mistake if there is.

I disagree, I think it is one of our most important positions especially as we rely on our fullbacks for width. I am not sure if we will be playing with the fullbacks in as advanced positions as they have been in this season, but they will still be needed to support our wingers on the overlap and in transition to attack for next year.

We need to be looking at someone like Kieran Tierney, who I think would be a mint addition to our squad, and we wouldn't need to break the bank for him either.
