Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, 33, and Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno, 26 - both Spain internationals - are targets for Barcelona. (Sport - in Spanish)

Completely past it. I hate to say it because I've always loved nacho but his career here should be over. Caught put of position all game and didn't track a single run. Kept over committing because he knew he didn't have the pace to track back. Koscielny was closer to his man that Nacho was for most of the game.

I've been thinking this for a while.

He's been moved to LCB from LB and he's still getting torched for pace.

Definitely has to go.

He was shocking in the second half.

Out of position, slow to react, has clearly lost a yard of pace and played us into trouble a few times with loose passes/touches.

He's been a great servant for us, but I think it's best if he departs in the Summer.

Absolutely love Nacho but the quality and nous ain’t there with his age, something Koscielny has managed to keep

Tierney a must in the summer

FFS. Do this club NEVER learn from their mistakes?

I hope to god this is not true. He is 33, lost a yard of pace and isn't as sharp as he once was. He won't be getting better next season. This is a step in the completely wrong direction. If there is any substance to this, my fear is we won't be signing a left-back this Summer. Which would also be a huge mistake.

I agree, although by the speed of his demise, perhaps part of that is due to rustiness. I suppose he could be viewed as good back up and a great voice in the squad to help new young players, but we really need to be more ruthless in terms of replacing ageing players.

News reports coming out that we've offered him a contract extension for one year. I know he's a fan favourite and he's been a great servant for us, but you can clearly see he is on the wane.

No point keeping him. We need to get rid.

If this is true, then the club's lack of ambition becomes even more apparent.
