Arsenal Vs. United.

that was the moment I knew I'd picked the right team to support.

There were no shrinking violets at Arsenal in those days - well, Andy Limpar IIRC ran away, but the rest of the team made up for him - didn't we get 3 points deducted for the row?

Dont remember that. I do rememeber Limpar being too pretty for those sort of antics though lol

In that match, I do remember Limpar thumping someone (McClair?) and THEN running away (i think)...which kicked it off...I could be mistaken, of course.

All I would add is that pre GG, finshing 15th-17th each season, even though I was quite young, was demoralising and I just didn't expect much and then GG comes along, we played shit football but start to get respected again and win stuff. To think, I used to laugh at my Spurs mates, who only had one argument which was they played much better football and how that was enough :P

Funny how these things go, isn't it? It also pissed me off no end when Arsenal fans and the media kept on about how great our football was etc....but we won jack.

All this tikka-takka shit is no way a patch on the rapid, counter attacking stuff we used to play, with the rocks of Petit and Viera OWNING the CM against pretty much everyone.....earn the right to play etc....we lost something along the way.

Forest used to use that argument too until they got relegated!!!

we arent forest or spurs though, we're an elite club. People on here love to be dramatic. It doesnt even matter if we win the fa cup you'll still find guys on here that will claim as if that was not an acheivement.

Have already seen comments on here such as.... wigan have won it for us, it is still a disappointment etc. We'll see if either liverpool or chelsea win a trophy. I wonder what people will say when rogers gets that top 4 trophy, couldnt imagine the furor if it was wenger in the situation with little chance of winning anything.

if they win the title i'll change my name to wenger out. I couldnt care less what the table looks like now, if at the end of the season they dont win the title then there's no difference between what rogers has done and what wenger had done. Plus wenger would have done the same with a far inferior team (lets be honest our team last year was complete garbage, ramsey in poor form for the majority and some how worse version of giroud coupled with players like santos, djourou, ryo, worse ox, gervinho, podolski, arteta, etc who all shouldnt be in our squad next year)

The fact that rogers has arguably the best striker in the world under his belt as well as other class players such as sturridge, gerrard, coutinho etc, it would have been a huge failure if he didnt challenge. Last season also was a bigger failure than most they should have done significantly better no matter what people say.

Wasn't sure who I wanted to win the league if not us. Now I know! Come on Liverpool!!!

Szczesny > Mignolet
Sagna > Johnson
Mertesacker > Skrtel
Koscielny > Agger
Gibbs > Flanagan
Arteta < Gerrard
Ramsey > Henderson
Walcott > Sterling
Özil > Coutinho
Podolski < Sturridge
Giroud < Suarez

Bench:
Fabianski > Brad Jones
Monreal = Enrique
Flamini = Allen
Cazorla = Coutinho
Ox > Moses
Sanogo = Aspas

Question marks on the keeper and CB but we have better quality.

1st eleven yes.

Playing on 4 fronts while they play on 1 front? Not a chance.

was talking about last season not this. Last seasons squad was worse than liverpools current squad, also liverpool benefit from playing once a week.

George Graham Thread

Apart from what everyone else has said,,he knew exactly how to motivate the team. 3 points deducted and the captain doing time and still win the league.
