Better trophy to game ratio than any other manager. Our best manager ever.

So close to to doing an invincibles in 90/91. Won the title despite having points deducted. Imagine that under Wenger, we'd have crumbled.

The back 5, rocastle, Merson, Wright. What a team

And the main event, a major European trophy.

Such a shame the way he left, I was only 12 but even I realised it changed us and we've never been the same.

Greatest respect for GG a legend in his own right. Just don't want to compare one vs the other. Equally proud of both the great managers achievements. Enjoyed both. Different era different ball game.

Wenger gave us swag but Graham gave us steel.

Hes a filthy spud, he also made us more boring than Jose Mourinho has made any team.

I think in the 1993 season (off the top of my head) only 6 different players scored the whole season.

He did scrape wins and trophies by parking the shit out of the bus, but left us crying out for some exciting football which Wenger gave us.

89 was good, not Wengers invincible's good though, he also had patchy as hell league form, one season we would be top 4, the next 10th etc.

If comparing overall trophies, compare Grahams to the first 10 years to Wengers.

Wenger brought in players like Overmars, Vieira, Anelka, Graham was bringing in players like John Jensen, Glenn Helder and Chris Kiwomya as starters, yes Wenger brought in some howlers, but overall his recruitment was way better in his early years than George Grahams in his later years.

Wenger had a win ratio of 57% and 17 trophies...11 of them in his first 6 years (3 league titles, 7 FA Cups, 7 Community Shields)

Graham had a win ratio of 49% and 7 trophies (2 league titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 Charity Shield Shared, 2 League Cups, 1 Cup Winners Cup)

A real European cup is worth an infinite amount of charity cups.

The Cup Winners Cup was basically the League Cup of Europe, nice to have it, but would much rather challenge for the UEFA Cup or the Champions League because they are way more prestigious and both still exist, Wenger went close in both of them, George got nowhere near.

The real comparison is prime vs prime, the 9 years of Graham vs the first 9 Years of Wenger since they are close in age.

The only major trophys won were the league and the FA Cup, Wenger won the league 3 times and the fa cup 4 times in 6 years, George won 2 Leagues and 1 FA Cup in 9 years, whilst pissing every team off in the country making us the most boring team around.

Wenger however played amazing attacking football, players with multiple ballon d'or nominations, record breaking seasons, unbeaten away then unbeaten altogether,

Its no contest.

Georges team was basically the same as Arsenes early teams, but Arsene added players who could score and create and ditched the trouble making shits like Paul Merson.

Yup

Can't believe fairweathers are mocking our CWC win to praise Wenger. Ridiculous.

It was a massive trophy when we won it.

Kids would.

And yes it was. Just cos you have been brought up in the 2010s thinking it's not a big trophy doesn't make it right. Ask any Arsenal fan or indeed any fan who were in it. You had to win a trophy to be in it. Not finish 17th, get in to the intertoto cup through FairPlay and reach the UEFA cup.

Learn your history.

It was seen as the Mickey mouse cup of Europe.
